7 Reasons Why Lewis Capaldi is So Likeable

Updated: Oct 20, 2022

1. Self-Deprecating Humour

He doesn't take himself too seriously

2. Mental Health Discussion

On The Zach Sang Show, Lewis talked about having anxiety and Tourettes, how fame is temporary, and he doesn't think he'll have the staying power of someone like Ed Sheeran or Beyoncé. He also spoke about doing therapy, and how you just have to take things day by day.

I could wake up tomorrow and feel horribly anxious, and there's no reason for it other than it's tomorrow.

3. Talented Vocalist and Songwriter

He writes his own music!

If you’re writing about what you’re feeling about something, then you’re in good stead. The open-ended lyrics thing was a choice I made because I was so bored of talking about myself.

4. Steals the Show Without Even Trying

He's so funny and can connect with other people and audiences so easily. You can see this from his brief appearance on The Graham Norton Show ⬇️

5. Down to Earth and Humble

He's genuinely down to earth, and not in a fake celebrity way where they pretend to be so "normal" and "relatable".

I've always been quite laid-back. When I first got my manager, I said all I want to do is play King Tut's, which is a place in Glasgow for 500 people - that's a goal. And then I did it, and now it's gone beyond anything that I could have ever hoped for.

6. Doesn't Rise to Criticism and Hate

When Noel Gallagher said some not so nice things about him in the media: ""F**king Chewbacca should enjoy his 15 minutes." Lewis said that this was a career defining moment for him, and he had now "peaked" because he grew up listening to Oasis.

7. Living Meme

He always embraces the memes, and I love that about him

keep being u lewis!
